RETURNING TO THE BELLE OF BATON ROUGE ON JANUARY 9th,2016 FOR EXHILARATING MMA FIGHTS!
Baton Rouge, LA December 30th,2015– World Fighting Championships and the Belle Of Baton Rouge will start the year of 2016 with one of the best MMA fight cards in the area.President of WFC, Matt McGovern is very enthusiastic about the direction that Louisiana”s MMA is taking .”We super excited to start 2016 in Baton Rouge, every event gets better, giving us the opportunity to witness the local fighters’ growth, they really leave it all in the cage, making the fans get glued to their seats not wanting to miss a second of it! This time we have two WFC titles on the line, it’s going to be a war between Louisiana and Texas “Several standout fighters line the fight card. Kyle Bradley, a former UFC veteran looking to destroy Nolan Norwood to vindicate his reputation as the most gifted fighter on the US southern MMA scene. The truth is that several bouts on the card, deserve the billing of main event including Thomas Webb Vs. Scott O’Shaughnessy, Brendan Allen Vs. Kory Moegenburg and JC Pennington Vs. Andy Brossett in the pro division.In the amateur division, we’ll have a total of two memorable and exciting title fights; TJ Landry is back in the cage to defend his 170lbs WFC Title belt against Frankie Cavazos from Odessa, TX and Baton Rouge’s Jonathan Eiland and Carlton Lofton will fight for the 155lb Title belt.
WFC 46 is packed with some new and old faces entering the cage: Michel Batista Vs. Russell Johnson, Cory Johnson Vs. Corris Dandre, William Funes Vs. Terrance Freeman, Jimmy Young Vs. Lindsey Joyce ,Eric Duhon Vs. Chris Mullins and many more.
The Official WFC 46 Weigh-In will take place inside the Belle Of Baton Rouge on Friday, January 8th at 5:30 PM. The weigh-ins are free and open to the public with fans encouraged to attend and support their fighters.Tickets start at $25 for General Admission and are available through the WFC website at www.WFCfights.com . Fans are encouraged to buy tickets early, as the best seats sell out early.
