BATON ROUGE, LA – Without question, the best professional boxing in all of Louisiana is back at the Belle of Baton Rouge Casino Hotel when World Fighting Championships brings WFC 47 to the Atrium on Saturday, February 20th, 2016.
“This event will be phenomenal, WFC has been searching high and low for the most talented boxers to break in the New Year with a bang and set the tone for a record setting 2016. WFC 47 will be the 2nd of 20 events planned for the year and we will continue to ride our current wave of momentum and success.” – Matt McGovern, President, World Fighting Championships.
Local fan favorite, Justin Thomas will return to put his battled tested record on the line, this time he’ll exchange blows with Jimmy “The British Assassin” Campbell from London, for the night’s Main Event. This magnificent bout will be followed by the Co-Main Event leaded by Baton Rouge’s own Chris Singleton in the red corner. Young upstarts Henry Allen and Manjaro Hills Jr. will continue to climb the mountain of success and keep their unblemished resumes intact, as Henry Allen will be menacing Mississippi’s own Phill Soriano after recovering from a shoulder injury, and Manjaro Hills Jr. will fight Jay Williams while he aims for the 3rd KO in a row in his young career. Cole Crumpler will make his 3rd appearance in the WFC ring ready for battle against Jordan Simmons. And as if the card wasn’t stacked enough, Brandon Ricketts will be making his much anticipated pro debut against New Orlean’s own Devin Parker!
