Mixed Martial Arts at the Belle!

Press Release: WFC is back with professional and amateur mixed martial arts at the Belle of Baton Rouge Casino Hotel!

June 21st marks the return of top professional and amateur up-and-comers when WFC: World Fighting Championships returns to Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  This event showcases some of the best talent around.  Doors to the arena open at 7pm; fights start at 8pm.

“World Fighting Championships is always happy to be back at the Belle of Baton Rouge Casino Hotel.  All of our events here have been some of the most action packed we put on; we couldn’t do what we do without the great local talent and their fan base.” – Matt McGovern, President, World Fighting Championships.

Eight bouts are scheduled on a card that includes the top local professional and amateur talent. The main event features Lanny Dardar versus Chris Brooks.  I”ts very exciting for me. I’ve been fighting in South Louisiana my whole career and this is my first time in Baton Rouge. I’m looking forward to putting on a show for the fans that haven’t seen me yet.” Lanny Dardar. “It’s great to be fighting for the WFC. I hope to start focusing on boxing more in the future and it’s great I have that opportunity.”

The co-main event features two more locals, Josh LaGrange versus Gage Duhon. “This will be an action-packed fight. The styles of these two fighters leave me to believe this one is not going to the judges, ” Matt McGovern.

In the amateur portion of the card, the World Fighting Championships 135 lbs. title is up for grabs when Trent Meaux collides with David Lee. The card is filled with local talent such as: Lance Dozier, Garret Granger, Jocquenee Bernard, Maxx Smith, Jacob Breaux, Alex Marino, Justin Durand, Chris Bell, Jay Bruce, and Curtis Bossier.

Tickets for WFC23 start at $30 and are now available through worldfightingchampionships.com. This show invites fans ages 16 and older.
