AMATEUR MIXED MARTIAL ARTS IS BACK AT GRAND SIERRA RESORT AND CASINO, RENO, NEVADA; JUNE 28TH, 2014

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

World Fighting Championships is back at the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino on June 28th for more action packed amateur mixed martial arts.  This event showcases some of the best local talent mixed martial arts has to offer. Doors to the arena open at 6 P.M., fights start at 7 P.M.

“WFC worked hard to make some very exciting fights happen on this card for the Reno MMA fans.  From the bottom to the top, we have intense fights planned that stay with our tradition of putting on great events,”  C.E.O. Matt McGovern

Eight  bouts are scheduled on a  fight card that includes some of the best amateur talent the local Reno area has to offer.  The 170 lbs. amateur title is up for grabs when Justin Gragg, 3 wins, 1 loss, meets James Nava, 4 wins, 0 losses.  In the main event Byron Gragg, 2 wins, 0 losses, collides with a very experienced Andrew Lipp, 5 wins, 6 losses.

“The WFC has given me a great opportunity to fight in front of my hometown.  I’m not thinking about the next fight.    All I am worried about is June 28th and putting on a great show in front of the local MMA fans,” says main event fighter Byron Cragg.

Justin Gragg is excited to fight for a title belt in his hometown.  I love fighting in Reno.  That’s where my family is and I get a great response from the crowd.  I think my opponent is a solid grappler and this will be a good matchup for me,” said Justin Gragg.

The card is action packed with top notch local talent from the Reno, Carson City, and North West California gyms.  Andrew Lipp, James Nava, Matt McCrary, Carlos Sanchez, Melvin Washington, Vinnie Reymus, Ronnie Weidt, Derek Jones, Kittrell Wyrick, Ryan Kolkorst, and George Martinez are just some of the fighters stepping into the WFC cage that evening.
