PROFESSIONAL MIXED MARTIAL ARTS COMES TO THE CHINOOK WINDS RESORT AND CASINO, LINCOLN CITY, OREGON, JUL 26TH, 2014

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

World Fighting Championships is coming to the Chinook Winds Casino & Resort for live action –packed professional mixed martial arts.  This event showcases some of the best Oregon talent mixed martial arts has to offer. Doors to the arena open at 1 P.M., fights start at 2 P.M.

“WFC worked extremely hard to make this event happen.  It has proven to be worth it as the Oregon MMA community has responded with overwhelming support.  It’s great to be able to showcase the best of what Oregon MMA has to offer for the Oregon MMA fan.  This fight card has some of the best talent we have ever put together,”  WFC C.E.O. Matt McGovern.

Eleven bouts are scheduled on a  fight card that includes world class level talent. In the main event local fan favorite and former UFC fighter Ryan Healy, 24 wins, 13 losses, takes on Aaron Hedrick, 9 wins, 5 losses.

“WFC is putting together one of the biggest cards in Oregon in a long time. I’m thrilled to be a part of it and I can’t wait to put on a show. WFC is establishing itself as a world class organization.  I love to fight and know this win will lead to bigger and tougher fights on my way to the UFC,” says main event fighter Ryan Healy.

Main event challenger Aaron Hedrick stepped up and took the fight on short notice, showing his own determination to make a name in MMA.  “I have studied Healy’s fights and am ready.  I train hard all the time and Ryan Healy will know who Aaron Hedrick is after this fight.”

The card is action packed with top notch local talent from all the local MMA gyms in Northern Oregon.  Ian Loveland, Chris De La Rocha, Eben Kaneshiro, DJ Linderman, Josh LaGrange, Chris Folsom, Mike Dubois, Julian Wallace, and Ryan Walker are just some of the fighters stepping into the WFC cage that evening.
